In a press conference held this Tuesday, Ousmane Sonko, leader of the PASTEF party, disclosed the precise circumstances surrounding his dismissal from government. His remarks, delivered with clarity, put an end to weeks of speculation about the rift between him and President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

The political rupture unfolded during a meeting at the Presidential Palace. Sonko revealed that the President had summoned him to express his dissatisfaction with their collaboration. « The Head of State informed me that he believes the partnership can no longer continue », Sonko stated.
