In Anguissa, a neighbourhood in Yaoundé’s fourth district, a 10-year-old girl was stabbed to death during the night of Saturday, 27 June to Sunday, 28 June 2026.
Grief and shock gripped the Anguissa area of Yaoundé on Sunday 28 June. Ten-year-old Sylvana was brutally stabbed to death by a 22-year-old woman. The suspect claims she acted under the influence of the Holy Spirit. The incident occurred overnight while the girl’s parents were away.
Young Sylvana succumbed to multiple stab wounds inflicted by her attacker. The alleged perpetrator was arrested on 28 June 2026 at a place of worship. She is currently in police custody as authorities continue their investigation to shed full light on this tragedy.
