Aladji Bamba set for Premier League switch in £34m deal

AS Monaco and Newcastle United have reached a groundbreaking agreement for the transfer of 20-year-old French-Guinean midfielder Aladji Bamba. The deal, valued at over €40 million including performance-related bonuses, marks a significant investment by the Premier League club in the young talent.

Born in Blois, France, Bamba has been granted permission to travel to England for a mandatory medical examination ahead of finalizing his long-term contract with Newcastle United. The move represents a major career milestone for the international prospect, who has steadily risen through the ranks of European football.

Speaking before his departure, Bamba shared his enthusiasm for the new challenge:

« This is an incredible opportunity and a massive step forward in my development. Newcastle United is a historic club with an incredible fanbase, and I’m thrilled to experience the Premier League while keeping my loved ones in France and Guinea close to my heart. »
