Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
The Prime Minister highlighted this session as a pivotal moment for mobilizing private investments essential to driving the country’s development agenda. “This marks another milestone in our investor-focused consultation, centered on business growth and value creation,” he stated. “We are thrilled to welcome over 700 investors from friendly nations who have traveled to take part in this critical dialogue.”
Addressing a packed room of business leaders, private investors, and representatives from the private sector, Robert Beugré Mambé emphasized the significance of this gathering as a platform for fostering collaboration and aligning shared development goals.
Investors as key partners in economic transformation
In his address, the Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured attendees that the nation’s economy has consistently demonstrated resilience and adaptability, maintaining an average growth rate of 6.5% in recent years despite global uncertainties. This performance places Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most dynamic economies.
“The opportunities before you today are vast,” he declared. “This session will fast-track investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition, and the development of critical infrastructure such as transportation, digital systems, and logistics. These efforts will bolster our competitiveness and economic appeal while investing in human capital, innovation, and essential services to build a more productive and inclusive economy.”
The Prime Minister also pointed to the success of the first day of the consultation, which focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy. That session attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including representatives from Côte d’Ivoire.
Private sector reaffirms commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s development
Leading voices from the business community echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and Chair of the Africa Committee of MEDEF France, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), collectively reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian government’s vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the implementation of the PND 2026-2030, emphasizing their readiness to play an active role in the nation’s growth journey.
