Ivorian PM launches investor-focused session to boost 2026-2030 development plan

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the Consultative Group for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

« This marks another milestone in our consultative process focused on investment, enterprise, and value creation, » he stated. « Our goal is clear: mobilize private capital to turn our development vision into reality. I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this pivotal gathering. »

The Prime Minister addressed a packed audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to participate. He emphasized that this forum serves as a vital platform for fostering collaboration with the private sector while aligning on a shared economic roadmap.

« Your commitment is a testament to the growing confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and its growth trajectory, » he said. « You are key partners in building a more competitive economy that generates sustainable employment. Realizing this ambition hinges on private sector investment. »

Highlighting the government’s strategy, he confirmed that the private sector will be the driving force behind the country’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—a performance that solidifies its position among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

« Today, you are presented with a market brimming with opportunity, » he declared. « The sessions ahead will fast-track investments in the PND’s priority sectors, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will propel a more productive and inclusive economy. »

He also noted that the first day of the event, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

Leading investor voices echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of France’s MEDEF, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), each reiterated their confidence in the Ivorian government’s vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030 and ensure its successful implementation.
