Côte d’Ivoire gathers over 700 investors to accelerate private sector growth
Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the Consultative Group for Côte d’Ivoire’s 2026-2030 National Development Plan (PND) concluded with a high-powered session led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. The event brought together more than 700 private investors from friendly nations to explore opportunities in the country’s rapidly expanding economy.
The Prime Minister emphasized the strategic importance of the gathering, calling it a pivotal moment to unlock private capital and drive economic transformation. “Today marks another milestone in our journey to mobilize private investment for sustainable development,” he stated. “Your presence here reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential, which continues to outperform regional averages with average growth of 6.5% over recent years.”
Under the theme of partnership and shared prosperity, the session served as a platform for dialogue between government officials and business leaders. Robert Beugré Mambé reiterated the administration’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the main engine of economic growth, highlighting key sectors such as industrialization, infrastructure, and human capital development as priorities for investment.
Key sectors for investment under the PND 2026-2030
- Industrialization and local processing: Expanding value addition in raw materials to boost competitiveness.
- Strategic infrastructure: Development of transport, digital, and logistics networks to enhance regional connectivity.
- Human capital and innovation: Investing in education, skills training, and technology adoption to build a more productive workforce.
The Prime Minister underscored that Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience—evident in its consistent performance amid global volatility—makes it an ideal destination for long-term investment. “This is a market on the rise,” he said. “The commitments made today will help accelerate progress across our development agenda.”
