Sonko’s recent transition from Prime Minister to President of the National Assembly on May 22 underscored a shifting political landscape. This move came amid growing tensions with the President of the Republic, culminating in a definitive break between once-close allies of the Diomaye Président coalition. In Mbacké, the kickoff drew overwhelming demand, with over 13,000 cards sold in mere hours, prompting an urgent restocking effort in Dakar.
